The valentine message inscribed bottle was a great idea and much appreciated by my valentine. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the inscribing though -- it looked very impressive in the picture but in reality it was quite difficult to read (it didn't stand out against the pink liquid very well). The ultimate award, Scottish Gin Distillery of the Year, was presented to North Uist Distillery who have created an impressive range of gins. They also collected the award for Excellent in Branding. Crafted to “capture the spirit of Hebridean Island life”, Downpour, which launched in April this year, is the first release from North Uist Distillery. The gin is presented in a statement purple bottle that captures the vibrant hues of upland heather in full bloom, and it is easy to tell that Ben Lomond Gin perfectly pulls inspiration from the unique flora, fauna and scenery of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
