Here are some sample photos. I don't pixel peep so forgive me if I don't do this camera justice. I also reduced the sharpness in post. Although rather small, there is an actual hand-grip on the front of the camera, plus the aforementioned textured leatherette finish which togetheer are more than sufficient enough to be able to still hold the camera nice and steady when shooting handheld, ably assisted by the much more pronounced thumb-grip on the rear.

The other major improvement to the screen is the hinge; a clever double-jointed design allows it to flip upwards by around 80 degrees, but also to flip downward and all the way around so it faces front below the camera body. In this position there are some self shooting features which I’ll talk about in the Shooting experience section below.

As an avid photography enthusiast myself, I was thrilled to learn about the features and improvements of the E-P7. Your descriptions of the sleek design, compact size, and powerful image quality got me really excited about this camera. It's impressive how Olympus managed to incorporate advanced technology while maintaining the signature retro charm. In common with other PEN models the E-PL7 offers the full trange of 14 Art filters. Olympus was one of the first manufacturers to include in-camera filters in anything more advanced than a point and shoot compact and those on the PEN E-PL7 are among the best and most versatile around. Note: Depending on shooting conditions, the sequential shooting speed may reduce speed during shooting. Although low-light shooting is typically not the forte of smaller sensors, the five-axis sensor shift image stabilization helps to keep ISO speeds low and gives you slightly longer handheld shutter speeds, which should produce cleaner results. As a travel-orientated camera, it’s also likely that you’ll primarily be shooting in good light, which makes its low-light credentials less of an issue. The PEN series has been somewhat overshadowed by the excellent OM-D cameras, whose DSLR-like styling has been better received than the rangefinder-esque PENs, but the PL7 makes a bid to reaffirm the position of the smaller cameras.
